This is by far one of our most favorite traditions. The day after Thanksgiving we go cut down our Christmas tree. The whole Franklin Family (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandma and grandpa goes too! Then we invade Golden Corral for breakfast! We have done this for about 15 years.
We come home and spend the rest of the weekend decorating! Now we can officially begin the Christmas season!!
I have always wanted to do that....but never have! Where do you guys go? I love traditions too.....those are the memories that stick out most as you think back on growing up! This is a perfect tradition.
Looks like lots of fun. We used to go cut down our tree, but it consisted of going to the mountains, 4 wheeling in the snow, and me almost having a heart attack. Once we had kids the tradition of me almost dying stopped and we got a fake tree. I do miss the smell of a real tree though...
Rich and I were married March 22, 1988 in the Salt Lake Temple. Our family quickly grew to 6, with our 4 children in 9 years. For the past 18 years we have lived in Syracuse, and really feel like this is home. Family is what it is all about!
